Who we are and what we can do together in Ukraine

FederlegnoArredo represents Italian companies in the wood and furniture industry — the true ambassadors of Made in Italy and of Italian industrial and artisanal excellence.
Our project in Ukraine is built on a long-term vision focused on direct collaboration with Ukrainian institutions and companies, moving beyond purely commercial approaches.
Our goal is to actively contribute to the ongoing reconstruction by working with Ukrainian institutions, businesses, and workers — combining Italian expertise, technology, and design with the resources and strength of the local production system. Together we can create economic value, new skills, and social and employment opportunities.
We have already established strong relationships in Ukraine — now we want to start working in the best possible way: together!
A shared operational model
We focus on the reconstruction of schools, hospitals, modular housing, community centres, and healthcare or sports facilities.
Unlike many traditional concrete-based proposals, FederlegnoArredo’s approach offers key advantages:
- Aligned with European standards: Modern-looking timber buildings — even up to 9–10 floors — that meet the EU’s environmental and energy criteria, toward which Ukraine is moving.
- Faster construction: Wooden buildings do not require drying times, allowing much quicker completion.
- Cost-effective: The wide local availability of timber and competitive construction costs make wood a financially sustainable solution.
- True collaboration: Combining Ukrainian labor and supplies with Italian expertise creates a genuine bilateral partnership model.
- Comprehensive offer: Our companies cover the entire wood-furniture supply chain — from construction to finishes, from furniture to lighting.
An integrated industrial system
This project brings together the entire Italian wood and furniture industry:
- Multi-storey wooden buildings (up to 10+ floors) for schools, hospitals, housing, sports centres, and public spaces.
- Finishes including floors, doors, windows, cladding, and insulation systems.
- Furniture and components for offices, homes, schools, hospitals, hotels, lighting, and common areas.
It’s a model that stands apart from concrete construction — more modern, efficient, and fully aligned with the goals of the European Green Deal.
Working together to rebuild
Many Italian companies are ready to work alongside Ukrainian public and private entities to rebuild buildings and infrastructure that are useful, beautiful, durable, and sustainable.
Our mission is to bring Italian know-how — technology, design, and quality — and share it with Ukrainian partners, building an alliance that generates local jobs and shared development.
We have gathered companies from across the supply chain, all eager to participate, offering their skills, technologies, and production capacity.
A project for two Nations
FederlegnoArredo’s initiative in Ukraine is meant to be both a strategic project for Italy and a concrete contribution to Ukraine’s recovery, driven by responsibility, innovation, and sustainability.
We bring the experience, technology, and culture of Made in Italy to create buildings and public spaces that improve people’s lives and strengthen the bond between our two countries.
This initiative is led by a manager with deep knowledge of Ukraine, thanks to numerous humanitarian missions personally carried out since 2022 in war-affected areas — from Kharkiv to Izium, Kramatorsk, Kherson, and Zaporizhzhia — delivering aid to hospitals, cities, and villages.
This direct experience on the ground provides the best foundation for building trust and genuine cooperation.
We look forward to meeting you at our stand — to learn about your needs, listen to your projects, and explore possible ways to collaborate.
We are also available for follow-up meetings after the ReBuild Ukraine Fair, either online or in person.
